TV Show Bibles
This December, I've decided to analyze TV bibles. The bible, or show overview, is used as part of the pitch packet. It provides information about the show as a whole and proves that the idea has legs - or enough stories to last multiple seasons. Often included are details on the premise, characters, world of the story, season one and two arcs, springboards for multiple episodes, and information on the story engine and format. There is no exact template, and the overview is another opportunity for the series creator to communicate the tone of the show. Throughout the month I'll be looking at different bibles and, when possible, comparing them to the aired pilot or series. First up is Stranger Things.
